goodbye twenty-o-five,
hello twenty-o-six!

anyway, the few past few days have been so busy I hardly had the time for sleep.

wed.
went to school to return a book for sis.
stuck in the mrt jam cos of the kallang incident.

rushed to national library again.
met rq and diana for the private sale at isetan scotts.
the sale was damn good, it was a whooping 30% off.
but we had problems staying together cos' the crowd was so bad.
ended up buying only 2 tops only.

walked till my legs were aching and had a really late dinner at almost 10.
ate at ichiban boshi. had a very bad first experience there but relented this time cos I was really hungry and it was the nearest available place.

but this time the food + the service was so good.
I had a chicken bbq set that comes with sashimi and we shared plate of gyoza.
the gyoza was so nicely done up on a hot place, i was so impressed. I mean it really looks good compared to the sakae ones.

thurs + fri.
spent having tuition & visiting my grandparents + my baby sitter. :)

went for tianwei's ROM chalet on fri night. played overnight mj. and lost big big. :( these days I have no luck at mj. sighs. got home at 6++ am.

yawns. so i have just woke up not long ago from my sleep. feeling lethargic still. overnight mj is bad for health.

ok. today's new year's eve.

a few days back, I wrote an entry about the more significant events in 2005 but decided against posting it now cos I think it's a tad too personal. thus, this probably shall suffice.

2005 had been a not so good one for me, at least particularly so in the first half of my year and I'm glad it's finally over.

I never once had such a tough year before but i guess it also taught me lotsa. however, i believe that for every bad thing that happened, a good thing will happen also :)

2005 started on a very stress note, cos it was a wake up call for me and I knew how much a difference the last sem would make to me, to graduate or not. Eventually, I made the decision to do another year, which I immediately regretted at the beg of this sem. Honours year was really a tough one especially with less frens around in school. I learnt how important it was to be self motivated. Projects + HYP took up a lot of time and I was really a stressed soul. However, at this point in time, I'm glad that things have worked out slightly for the better and I hope that it will end on a good note.

Juss came back during CNY this year which was a pretty good thing. Managed to catch up with him again even for a mere 2 mths before he flew off again. Being apart and together has both its ups and downs. It was a tough year for him away from home and although things did not work out that well, I'm glad things are starting to look up too :)

one major incident in 2005 was my uncle's passing on. It happened right in the middle of studying break and left the whole family in complete shock and there were many times when I felt that due to this, I wouldn’t be able to survive the examinations. It also made me realize how fragile life is especially when such a incident close to home happened. We really ought to treasure our loved ones. I believe time heals all wounds but he will always be in my memory.

moved out of pgp in may too, which was kinda sad cos most of my memories in uni came from there. In addition, ln graduated too, which made me feel like I lost the other half of a twin at times, especially when we spent almost every min of our time in uni together.

in 2005, i lost a pretty good friend. maybe it was my fault, mabbe it was not. but in any case, the good thing that happened was i got closer to the group cos of mahjong sessions and I am really thankful for that. they had made my life more bearable when juss wasnt around, especially for a couple that took pretty gd care of me too, no matter how small the gestures are. But cos of this very gd thing that happened to me, i started to have freq disagreements with a gd friend, even to the extent of me wanting to give up this almost precious friendship. But I'm glad both of us never gave up on it.

Somehow, the troubles in my life never stopped coming in the first half of the year including grandpa’s frequent admissions to the hospital and undeniably, I had a pretty bad 22nd birthday, except for the presence of my dearest family and juss and also of the handful of friends who went the extra mile to make my birthday much better than it actually was, you know who you are. The most memorable ought to be the huge bouquet of flowers + teddy + LV bag(my very first!) that juss sent from France and also my first bouquet of flowers from a girl, my other half of a wan. =)

This year was also the year when I started to have this ‘msn phobia’ which meant that I dreaded or feared coming to msn cos’ I always seem to communicate wrongly with friends. I was starting to feel that there was something wrong with me, cos each msn session will make me end up feeling confused and sometimes, upset. And the only way out was to stop coming online frequently, which I did.

Lastly, i had a splendid xmas eve + xmas + boxing day as well, one of the best one I ever had in a long time, so much so that when it all ended I have this ‘ why does time fly by so fast’ feeling. Sigh, I guess good things end fast, it’s the memories that will remind us of the happy times.

ok, it had been a very long entry. my last entry of 2005. hope that 2006 will be a really smashing one for me and my loved ones ;)

the holidays in photos.

it's been a very tiring 3 days of holidays. I had a lot of fun thou! thus, a little sad to return to reality. but anyway, here's my 3 days worth of fun in photos! actually i spent it mostly with my family, juss and his family. ;)

made photos calendars for my grandparents, my parents and juss! :)

my lovely xmas eve dinner with juss at copthorne's

juss got me this coloured gems pendant from lee hwa while i got him a wallet. ;)

had boxing day lunch at sakura with my parents and juss. and it was one of the buffets that I was pretty satisfied with myself cos i ate alot!

as you can see, i stopped taking pictures cos I was too busy eating. oops, I think i must have gained a few kg from this festive season =/ anyway, i had my dosage of salmon + swordfish sashimi and I was pleasantly satisfied ;)

spent the noon playing mj at roger's house and had dinner with juss' family later on. juss and me headed to parkway to get a new mj table for his new house! :)

and we settled to try out the table by a session of mj with his family this time! I love his mahjong tiles, they are transparent! one of the chioest mj tiles I have ever seen :)

I havent had such a superb xmas in a few years and I'm thankful for the good things that life has given me. Hoping that 2006 would be a smashing one for me!

smts, i think people put on a facade on msn. for instance, they could tell you very nice things but you nvr know what's their expression on the other side of the computer. msn just makes pple say what they want, whether it's true or not true. good and bad la.

tats why for a period of time since the start of exams, i stayed away from msn. cos apparently i hate pple who put on facades. not that i dun, but if u think i do you can always choose to dislike me.

especially to people who loves blocking others, what makes u think that the person you blocked wans to talk to you more than you want to.

actually i din think i will get so angry after so long, but i hate it when i have to make exceptions just to avoid people who dunno what friendship is.

yes, you're right. i'm so stubborn. but so what.

or mabbe i was just in a very bad mood today.

so if you are innocent, and i happen not to reply your sms, or answer your calls, i'm sorry! you just caught me on a-day-when-i-dun-wanna-talk. tats if any of you are reading this in the first place.

but if you're reading this, and this sounds very familiar. then stop to think twice. cos' it must be really u!

anyway, i feel so much better blogging it out. it's all in the name of blogging therapy.yay. TGIF

have a great weekend ahead!

oh my, today i caught up with diana over a ramen-lunch and she was telling me how gals like 2 yrs younger den us are blogging profusely. then it made me wonder if i'm very slow in maturing or what. *-*'''

tat aside, it was always gd catching up with friends i really missed. we updated each other about absolutely everything in our lives and needless to say, also spent some time walking down memory lane once again. as i always sae, it's only my tkg days that can allow me to feel nostalgic even until this last lap of my studying years.

it's also pretty shocking to know that some of our peers are already married or even have a kid. anything can change in a span of 6 yrs!

also caught up with an old schoolmate whom I was pretty surprised to have still recognised me. but nevertheless, catching up is always good :)

gonna start on a new tuition tmrw! well, actually just relieving my sister while she goes on holiday! :D

anyway, xmas is just coming real soon. and somehow im pretty much hyped up abt it this yr! so much had happened in the past 1 yr, more bad than good and i cant wait for 2006 to come!

tis' the season to be jolly

yesterday me and juss bought a log cake for my family :D

i havent had a log cake in ages.

and this log cake is especially special cos it's durian! yumms.

i know traditionally a log cake should be chocolate, but all the choc ones i saw were so big that my family cant finish it cos most of us aren't chocolate lovers. well, all except me la.

so just now i made everione look and appreciate the cake before we cut it up and gobbled it down.

it's so small, it's just nice for all of us!
then i took out all the figurines and washed them. yes, im intending to keep them! it's what i always do when i was young.

anyway, that day my sis bought me a 'xmas tree' .

now you understand why it's in inverted commas. well, to tell the truth, my family had never once had a xmas tree due to religion matters. thus, if u cant have a big one, i dun mind a miniature one.

this tree came with a white base and 4 figurines that you could choose where u wanna hang. it's so cute! cheap thrill but im happy. :D

i rem last yr i wanted to have log cake but somehow i din manage to have it in the end.

and because this yr i had a log cake, i hope that 2006 will be an extremely good one for me and my loved ones :D

it just seems that the more you want sth
the more you find that its outta reach.

so mabbe i shld psycho myself by saying,
''no no i dun want this thing.'
then mabbe my chances of getting it is higher.

how true :)

clearing up the mess

after bumming around for a few days, i decided that its time to pack up my messy room.

starting from my table.

just bought this shelf from ikea that day. and my hardworking daddy got down to some work to help me fix the shelf. while i made myself useful by answering to his occasional calls of getting the hammer, the screw driver or the drill. :D

they were almost done! and i moved my speakers and printer up on the shelf.

finally drilled 3 holes for my flower light that juss gave me a long long time ago, but didnt had time to fix. so here it is. i had originally wanted the moon light. but too bad its outta stock in ikea liaos. =(

done! with the lighted lamp.

and this is how it looks like at night! the petals are so well defined! i love it. :)

tats' like 1/8 of my room packed. which reminds me that my wardrobe's still in a mess.

laaaaa diiii dummmm..

new template!

alright. finally a new template.

i'm sure pple are sick of seeing the chips picture liaos.
(esp for cheryl. hehs)

i havent found a really suitable picture to put up. so let's make do with this photo which is one of my personal faves.

originally put up a chicken little pic.but decided against it cos it made my blog look kiddy. and i must maintain a mature outlook. haha. cos someone just told me yesterday that i always looked like i was more mature.

so here goes!

gosh, i was supposed to be doing my hyp. *slaps forehead*

i'm so damn unmotivated. someone pls remind me it's not the holidays!

but then again, it's the hols wad. bleahs.

四眼鸡 !!

i thought the chinese name was damn cute. :)

i finally got to watch the show!

and i also enjoyed it through and through. i laughed at almost every single scene involving the little big headed chicken with green specs :)

or mabbe it was just the company. and i think guys who have a 'cartoons-humour' are especially attractive to me. :)

the show was a bit too short though. and in fact the story line wasnt very exciting. mabbe it was cos i had already read the book.

did i mention that i bought the chicken little book? and of all places, from nus co-op. wahaha.

anyway, the movie really depicted almost everything in the book and even the dialogue were almost exact. i wouldnt say i enjoyed the storyline but the animation was really good. long while since i got a worthwhile cartoon, after my fave 2 best, lilo & stitch and finding nemo.

i think i really have this fetish for cartoons which have a big head and a small body. :D

i laffed my head off when i saw chicken little in this oversized cap. (or whatever u call that) and chicken little in the origami pants was one of my fave scenes too.

other fave characters include abby, fish out of water and the lost alien child!

definitely a worthwhile movie to watch if u're lookin for some good laughter medicine. :)

anyway, cut my hair shorter again yesterday since i was getting sick of it being curly at the ends. and apparently my hair cut has sparked some -ve comments.

haha. but i really enjoy the convenience of not having to wait long for my hair to dry. especially when i foresee more late nights since it's the holidays!

like now.

gonna sleep soon. eyes can hardly open already.

shall end off with this. :) gd nites world.
